OUR LEADER: Known as “Gasogene,” the leader of Watson’s Tin Box serves for a one year term. We are currently under the leadership of Gasogene XXII, Alan Jacobson.
OUR QUIZMASTER: Known as “Tantalus,” our quizmaster is Fred Campbell.
TORQUEMADA: Our annual Mycroft Killer Quiz is devised by our clever Beth Austin, who amuses and challenges us with each year’s new Mycroft.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Attend two or more meetings and you are considered a member of Watson’s Tin Box.

Who We Have Been
Watson's Tin Box has a proud history of leadership. Our tradition requires that our leader, known as the Gasogene, serves a one-year term. The current Gasogene always chooses his/her successor, and the passing of the gavel occurs at the annual Mycroft gathering in January.
In addition, Watson's Tin Box has a quizmaster, or Tantalus. This is a five-year term, and the current Tantalus chooses his/her successor. The Tantalus provides a quiz at each Tin Box meeting relating to the evening's story.
The Torquemada challenges us every year with "The Mycroft," the killer test of Sherlockian knowledge and memory of minutiae.
