Somewhere in the vaults of the bank of Cox and Co., at Charing Cross, there is a travel-worn and battered tin despatch-box with my name, John H. Watson, M.D., Late Indian Army, painted upon the lid. It is crammed with papers, nearly all of which are records of cases to illustrate the curious problems which Mr. Sherlock Holmes had at various times to examine.   (THOR)

Watson’s Tin Box of Ellicott City, Maryland, a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars, is a group dedicated to reading and discussing the Sherlock Holmes stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A congenial lot, we invite and encourage all who are interested in the Great Detective, be you a seasoned Sherlockian or the veriest beginner (whom we all envy, as you are discovering Holmes for the first time!). Except in January (or when otherwise noted), we meet on the last Monday of every month, currently via Zoom. The goal is to enjoy the stories and each other’s company. We hope you'll consider joining us!

Omnibus rebus impossibilibus remotis, quidquid relictum sit, quamvis, debet esse veritas.
"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Latin translation by Paul Churchill, BSI, co-founder of Watson's Tin Box
